Roe v. Wade: Marching is Not Enough
As we in the United States commemorate the terrible anniversary of Roe v. Wade next week, let us ask God to lift the deception that blinds so many, not just here, but all around the world.
Marches for Life have their place, but they’re no different from worldly protests unless we pave the way with desperate prayer. Also, unless we find ways to share the gospel, marches only demonstrate our disapproval of other people’s choices.
Yes, we must stand up for defenseless babies in the womb, but only the gospel can change their mothers’ hearts and offer hope for the future. Only the gospel can heal the broken hearts of those who have already made the tragic choice to abort their babies.
We must represent our Lord not in condemnation, but in love. We are fellow sinners saved only by God’s grace. It is our duty and privilege to offer the true hope we have received through no merit of our own: The forgiveness and salvation found in Jesus alone.
So as you march or as you talk with others about Roe v. Wade, please remember it is the kindness of God that leads us to repentance (Rom. 2:4).

Do You Find It Hard to Stand Strong in a Confused Culture?
“Sanctify them through thy truth. Thy word is truth.” (John 17:17)
Do you find it hard to live out what you believe as a Christian? Especially in a culture that has turned morality and truth on its head? Are you concerned about whether your children and grandchildren will be able to stand for truth?
As a Follower of Jesus Christ You Have an Astounding Inheritance!
- A personal relationship with the Creator
- His Word of Truth in the Bible
- His indwelling Holy Spirit to comfort, strengthen, and guide you
- His love, joy, peace, grace
- And so much more!
As His love letter to us, the Scriptures help us know God better and teach us how to live. Our privilege and duty is to pass down this heritage in its pure form to upcoming generations. To help them come to faith in Jesus Christ. And to stay in the faith throughout their lives.
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. ” (Deut. 6:5–7 ESV)
