Feast for Thieves, Veterans, WWII

World War II officially ended on September 2nd, 1945. To complete our series on World War II novels, NY Times bestselling author Marcus Brotherton joins Heritage of Truth host Jeanne Dennis to discuss his latest book, Feast for Thieves.

Feast for Thieves tells the story of a WW2 veteran from the Band of Brothers, an elite paratroopers group. The main character in the story is a new believer with a rough past and takes the only job he can find after the war – as pastor of a small-town Texas church. Meanwhile, the town sheriff is keeping a sharp eye on the new pastor.

The story was inspired by the life of Wayne “Skinny” Sisk. Marcus also discusses how the experiences of returning veterans differs now from 70 years ago and how we can encourage today’s veterans.
