Stories of Our Heritage Told through Quilts

Kathi Macias returns to Heritage of Truth to discuss her Quilt Series of novels and the importance of remembering our history and passing it down to our children and grandchildren.

Kathi discusses with Jeanne Dennis The Moses Quilt, which is the story of Harriet Tubman juxtaposed against a present-day story of an interracial couple.

Harriet Tubman was a courageous woman born into slavery who helped hundreds of her people escape through the underground railroad.

Kathi also tells about the other two books in her series, The Doctor’s Christmas Quilt and The Singing Quilt, which includes the story of the famous blind songwriter Fanny Crosby.
