USA Patriotic Pin

If you live in the USA, you can get into the spirit of elections, Independence Day, Memorial Day, or any of the national holidays by making and wearing this patriotic pin (or brooch).
Materials:
2″x 1.5″ square of 10-count plastic canvas
6-strand embroidery floss in the following colors:
Red (DMC 666)
Blue (DMC 798)
White (DMC BLANC)
1 self-adhesive pin backing,
1.5″ in length
1 blunt end, 10-count plastic canvas needle,
scissors
Instructions:
- Cut out the 4th of July brooch as shown in the graph.
- Stitch the brooch according to the graph.
- Overcast the edges of the brooch with 6 strands of white embroidery floss.
- Stick the self-adhesive backing to the back of the plastic canvas. Then pin it on your favorite shirt, shoes, or backpack!
